Joe LoGrasso

Joe LoGrasso has led development of advanced propulsion and battery energy storage systems for 33 years. Joe is currently Vice President-Battery Systems Engineering & Strategy for the power sports leader, Polaris. He was Sr. Manager at Stellantis leading the development and launch of multiple battery systems and was also Director at XALT Energy leading battery engineering for heavy duty and marine markets. Joe had a very successful 30 year career at GM and was a critical contributor to the development of battery and vehicle technology for the EV1, Chevy Volt, and many other programs. His experience in all aspects of battery programs including supplier development, pack engineering, cell technology, performance, design, safety, product strategy, controls & algorithms, and testing have positioned him well over the years to drive the development of exciting, safe, and reliable products. Joe has MS degrees in Technology Management from RPI and in Electrical Systems from Oakland University. He has served on the Management Committee for the USABC and sits on industry advisory boards as a strong electrification advocate. He is also current President of NAATBatt International and he also co-chairs the Lithium Battery Safety Committee.
