Austin Devaney

Austin Devaney is Chief Commercial Officer and leads the commercial activities for Piedmont Lithium.  Piedmont is developing a fully integrated project in North Carolina to mine spodumene and convert this product into Lithium Hydroxide for delivery into the battery supply chain.  Additionally, Piedmont will be building a greenfield conversion plant in Etowah Tennessee that will utilize feedstock from two equity investments, one in Quebec and the second in Africa that were made in 2021 that include rights to feedstock.  Prior to joining Piedmont three years ago Austin served in a variety of roles managing the Lithium business with Albemarle Corporation for ten years with a focus on the battery market.   Austin has over twenty-five years of experience in the Chemical Industry leading commercial efforts.  Austin holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
