James Craner, MD, MPH is an Occupational Medicine physician and global Corporate Physician for Tesla. Dr. Craner is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Medical School, residency trained in Internal Medicine and Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Before Tesla, Dr. Craner was in private clinical and consultative practice for 23 years, specializing in medical surveillance, biological monitoring, and data analysis for companies in hazardous, highly regulated industries. At Tesla, Dr. Craner designs strategy and implements programs for occupational health, industrial hygiene and risk management, including for Tesla’s battery cathode material acquisition, refining, cell manufacturing, R&D, testing and recycling.
