Renata Arsenault is Ford Motor Co.’s Technical Expert for Advanced Battery Recycling. Based at Ford Ion Park, Ford’s new Battery Center of Excellence, she has been interfacing closely with battery suppliers, recyclers and other industry members since 2006. She is involved in multiple facets of Sustainability at Ford, spanning battery recycling, 2nd use, LCA, strategic materials, supply chain circularity etc. She serves as PM for numerous USABC programs, is President of NAATBatt, co-chair of NAATBatt’s Battery Recycling and NA Manufacturing Committees, and manages projects with multiple universities in Ford’s University Research program. After graduating from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada with a B. of Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Renata spent 1989-1998 working in specialty chemicals for Diversey/Diversey-Lever where she led process development and scale-up of specialty products in North America.
