Biography
Safak Dogu is a battery technology and electrochemical engineering expert with a background in Product and Process Development Engineering. As an experienced researcher in many different verticals, he has led R&D teams for automotive and battery energy storage industries at Nant, K&S and Wärtsilä. As an R&D Manager at Yigit Battery, his team successfully established the first pilot plant for large format Lithium-ion cell production in Turkey.
He has over 20 years of academic and industrial tenure in battery-tech companies for automotive and energy storage-oriented industries such as electric vehicle (EV) and stationary energy storage (SES) business.
He holds B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and earned his PhD in LFP cathode nanomaterial synthesis and cell design for EV fast charging. Currently, he is the Head of Product Development and Research Department in Pomega US focusing in electricity storage and grid resilience strategies with batteries.
