Steven Boyd is the Program Manager for Batteries and Critical Materials at DOE’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains. Steven manages federal staff and resources investing processing and manufacturing capacity for critical areas of the supply chain to enable resilience and energy independence. His program is focused on addressing the supply chain for large capacity batteries, establishing domestic production and processing capabilities for critical materials to support a fully domestic end-to-end battery supply chain, and guiding investments in battery recycling and materials. Steven received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
